Postcard from Upstairs

This is for the couples who’ve been together awhile, when you know each other’s habits really well and can still find the romance!  I know I sometimes might make delicate little snorting noises, but hubby likes to say he doesn’t snore, he’s just dreaming he’s a motorcycle 😉

Please take the time to stop by and visit de jackson at Whimsygizmo’s Blog.  She writes some incredible poetry!

Just a note, the title of the piece is Postcard from Upstairs, but this is how it’s picking it up on the reblog.

It’s colder now, and quiet.
I know I said I couldn’t take it anymore
but my toes miss yours
and I found my earplugs.

Come back to bed
and all will be forgiven.

  1. 🙂 Thanks for the share. And my empathy goes out to all the spouses of snorers out there. I have to say the orange swimming-style earplugs have saved my sleeping, and much angst in our marriage of 17 years. 🙂

    1. I see — sorry, that’s just how it picks it up when I reblog. I can add that in my copy but the part in white comes from your blog only and I can’t change it. Sorry about that.

      1. No worries. Sorry, I didn’t notice your title WAS the title until after I hit “send” on the reply. 😉
Appreciate the shoutout, and the reblog!
