Leia’s Excellent Adventure…

I like to take the little Jackahuahua in the car with me every so often so she gets comfortable riding in case we take her on a driving vacation sometime. She’s usually good in the car, she just doesn’t like to lay down — or even sit down most of the time. So I got her a seat belt that hooks to the back of her harness and clips into the car restraint, so she can’t jump into the front seat or the hatchback while I’m driving.
She can stand up against the door and walk across the back seat. And even though she’s only 11 pounds, she can apparently step on the button and open the back window with her paw! Yep, she did it the other day when we were on our way to pick up youngest from work. Scared me to death!
I heard the noise behind me and felt a burst of icy air before I turned and saw the window going down as Leia was trembling with excitement or cold, I’m not sure which. Or maybe it was me screaming, “What are you doing?!” Thank goodness I could reach her harness and pull her away from the window while rolling it up from the driver’s side.
By the time we pulled up at Top Golf, she’d warmed up and stopped shaking but definitely needed a potty break. And when youngest came out, she was back at her spot in the car window, wagging furiously and thrilled to see him as if it were any other day…
Yay, Yay, it’s Saturday…

Happy Thursday…
