I’ve been busy…

So sorry I haven’t been around much. Bought a new home a few weeks ago and it’s taking up all my time so I can move in by the end of July.

The listing said, “pristine condition, new roof, new dryer, move right in!” Yep, move right into 1996! The house has good bones, a nice layout, just woefully dated. Too old to be current, too new to be retro.

You can see the old wall color and cabinet color on top. Barf! Cabinets painted deep gray, need to finish the bottom so new flooring can go in. I will not miss the hunter green and cream linoleum at all!
Carpet pulled up, removing padding and tack strips from concrete! First house I’ve had that is built on a slab. The nails are shot into the concrete and have to be popped out with a crow bar…
Shopping for all new appliances and trying to get decent things yet stay within a budget!

Flooring got delivered last night and we will begin installing on Thursday. That will really transform things! Wish me luck…
