Zero Gravity…

I had my first zero gravity pedicure yesterday.  Those pampered toes are painted with OPI’s Black Cherry Chutney.

I was a little apprehensive at first, but it was wonderful!  To begin, you’re seated in a big armchair while your feet soak for a while in a soapy, scented water bath.  Then you are given headphones and listen to lovely instrumental music while wearing an eye mask and a warm neck wrap.  You have pillows behind you and you’re snuggling under a soft blanket.

The chair tilts back until you are nearly horizontal.  Then you sort of doze while the lovely nail tech — mine was Amy —scrubs and exfoliates and polishes and buffs your feet and legs.

If I weren’t so seriously ticklish I would have been sound asleep…it was that heavenly.  And I had a Groupon 😉 so it was a super deal!

  1. On Monday I postyed a poem where I mention painting toe nails and here you are flashing you pretty little ones. Never heard of this zero gravity perdicue. Sounds like something you would do in space.

By the way, they look great.

    1. I read it and it was sweet — so very like you! I was a little apprehensive at first but it was so relaxing! Ticklish which drives me crazy and then running to my car in flip flops when it was 30 degrees out!

      4. Oh, good. Saw that my niece in northern VS had school cancelled today because of the bad weather coming to the East Coast. A nice glass of wine sounds delicious!

    1. C’Zar at the Promenade. There’s one in downtown Naperville, too. I had a Groupon for a gel manicure, zero gravity pedi and a 90 minute massage for $99 total! But the pedi is $45 regularly I think.

      1. I haven’t spent a lot of time in the city for a long time. It’s crazy because I’m literally ten minutes away. (Well, without traffic.) But we are going to the theater with the kids in a couple of weeks. We won tickets… didn’t even know we were in the running. LOL
