Seasons, a Limerick…

When we first met, I was spring, you were summer
We married soon after though you were encumbered
With kids you brought with, then we added our own
Now it nears autumn and all are about grown
If not for the grandkids winter would be a bummer 😀

In response to Mind and Life Matters Limerick Poetry Challenge, Seasons!

Seasons of Love…

The taste of new love

Sparkled like champagne bubbles

And spring had begun

Loving you today

Is as easy as summer’s

Warm endless sunshine

When the seasons change

Autumn’s slow decline begins

Love will still be bright

Bodies grow weary

Looks fade like winter sunlight

Blessed love remains
