A Writing Question…

What apps do you all use to write in for your blogs? I used to use Word on my computer but now I’m using my IPad with a keyboard exclusively and not sure what to download.

I just want to be able to print and copy things to my blog. Oh, and not pay anything if possible! Any suggestions?

  1. I just type in wordpress LOL I barely have the motivation to do that, I can’t imagine having to open two things and copy and paste and deal with a second formatting step hahaha

    1. If I write something short I just do it in WordPress. But longer work I want to do somewhere else and transfer. It wasn’t bad from my computer but I haven’t used my tablet as much!

  2. I’m a Mac user and usually find that any software, or app, that is recommended for blogging is not available for devices using iOS. I therefore use Word, Copy and Paste into WP, and edit within there.

    1. Thanks! I used to use my old desktop and Word, which I loved. Got the iPad instead of a laptop and not sure now!

  3. Your iPad came with Pages. Same as Word but without the bells and whistles you don’t really use. Free from Apple on all devices.

  4. There is both a Word and an Office 360 app that you can download and use on your iPad if you have a licence and the posts can be stored in One Drive for access on any platform.
But I just write directly into WordPress.

  5. I also write on iPad mostly. For new blog posts, I just write and edit them on the Notes app, and then copy paste into WP. It’s the simplest.

  7. There’s an open source program called LibreOffice — I used to use it a lot and I think my daughter still does. Totally free. Though it looks like you found your Pages, so if you’re happy with that, might as well stick with it. 🙂

  8. I use notes for my poetry and pages for my stories. Everyone has an opinion, but those work for me.

  9. I always wrote directly in WP and was happy doing so. Then Blocks came along and I didn’t want to pay to get the Classic editor back, but I found a workaround. Classic is still available…click on the + to start a new block and type Classic in the search box. I know the new format offers a lot of great features, but I haven’t learned how to use it yet. So, this is my method for now.

  10. I write outside of WordPress and copy and paste after I’ve finished. Glad to know about pages too. So much good info shared!
