Kat Myrman at Mercury Colliding has provided another interesting photo prompt for a very short story of no more than 280 characters. Here’s my take this week and you can read all the entries and/or join in by visiting Kat’s site.
“I see smoke, maybe a campfire!”
“Can you get closer?”
“Bringing it down — I see red. You said she was wearing red?”
“Yep, red hoodie and jeans.”
The helicopter dipped.
“Houston, we have a problem,” the pilot said drily as his runaway wife hightailed it for the woods.
277 characters
Sounds like she doesn’t want to bew found.
This is a good story for the challenge, 277 characters. That is tough.

Thanks, it is tough. And I like it being open ended so we don’t know if she’s just a runner or he’s an abuser

Thanks, I like it being open ended so you don’t know why she doesn’t want to be rescued!
