“I see smoke, maybe a campfire!”

“Can you get closer?”

“Bringing it down — I see red. You said she was wearing red?”

“Yep, red hoodie and jeans.”

The helicopter dipped.

“Houston, we have a problem,” the pilot said drily as his runaway wife hightailed it for the woods.

    This is a good story for the challenge, 277 characters. That is tough.

    1. Thanks, it is tough. And I like it being open ended so we don’t know if she’s just a runner or he’s an abuser
