      2. A good time to if you can. We have talked about it some but JP was horrified. He said you would never move away from me right? I don’t think I could do it. Wouldn’t mind leaving for a month or two in the winter tho!

    1. Nope, sitting here watching it fall. I’m sure it won’t last, but WTF?

      1. Seriously! I haven’t even cleaned up all of the fallen leaves yet, so I can’t imagine snow so early.

  3. It’s on its way here as well. Was suppose to start snowing an hour ago but has held off so far. Tried to book a time slot to have my snow tires put on two weeks ago and I thought that today was too soon and the calendar was closed for later bookings. Went back today and now I have to wait till Dec. 5th. Fingers crossed that this snow is short lived.

    1. Our snow is not sticking on the streets or sidewalks so I think it might be short lived too. Just not in that frame of mind yet!

  4. Wow. Yesterday when FirstBorn said it was “bone-chilling cold” in central IL I wondered if he’s getting old already (of course that can’t be 😉 ). Guess he wasn’t merely tired & whiney.

    1. Hubby has been whining about the cold for weeks, anything below 60 is cold to him. I tell him wait until January!

      1. I could not wait to get back here to South Eastern Washington after several years in the Joliet area, Jefferson Park. area and around the Lakes. It gets cold here too but not as early as it does there and it warms up here sooner too. Even so, being so far from the grandkids is so hard I’m considering moving back there.

      1. Bleh. I hate when it changes so suddenly. It was sunny and mild just a few days ago!

  7. We’re having rain at the moment. No snow… yet.

To be honest, the first few times it snows each year, I find it kind of magical. But when it starts happening too often or winter drags on too long, I’m all set!

    1. It was pretty. And prettier cause I know it’s supposed to be back in the 40s soon and it will all melt haha!

  8. Last year at this time I could have said, “Gosh Diane, it’s 70 degrees here!” Alas, now I have to say, “Is that all? We got four inches here and more on the way.” 😊

    1. Oh, man, I forgot you’re in MN! I have to admit it was kind of pretty and it was gone in two days. Hope your weather isn’t too bad!

      1. I heard of a Scandinavian saying: “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.”
Decked out in my down coat and LL Bean boots, I see the sense in it. 😉
