Dinner in the Instant Pot…

0C7AB3A0-BE52-4640-B75E-4595187D3647.jpegPork loin roast with onion, garlic, roasted potatoes and carrots.  All in one pot and ready in less than an hour!  It was juicy and cooked perfectly, too.

My new hobby is fermented vegetables, you know, like kimchi and sauerkraut?  I’m starting with two jars of brined pickles to see how it goes. So far, very easy!

    1. Come on! I’ll put the coffee on and make a cheesecake. I’m getting the hang of this!

    1. And you saute and pressure cook all in one pot so doesn’t mess up the whole kitchen!

      1. That’s friggin’ perfect! Seasons start soon, and practice nights are tough for dinner. That thing is ideal! Tell me what it’s called again?

      2. Instant Pot. Mine is a 6 quart Duo that is a 7 function. There’s a Facebook group called Instant Pot community where people post recipes and give tips that is very helpful. I looked at that a lot. Apparently you can cook a whole chicken in it and I did cook chicken breasts from frozen that cooked fine, too!

    1. So easy. It’s nice quality stainless steel and the inner pot and lid can go in the dishwasher. But I just put some hot water and detergent in and let it soak for a bit and it’s easy to clean

  6. That looks delicious! I might have to think about getting one. I could eliminate both the crock pot and the pressure cookers that way!

  7. Man, you’ve really latched onto something with posting your Instant Pot creations. Now as to the fermented veggies, is the Instant Pot involved in that too?

    1. Oh no, the fermented veggies are totally separate. I saw an article about it and it sounded so easy. And supposed to be so good for you with all the good probiotics and inexpensive. Tomorrow is Dday when I open the pickles and see how they taste and look!

    1. I really am using it a lot — and I’m not much of a cook! But the cheesecake, yummier!!
