Me & JP, Joking with a 5-year-old…

JP:  Nana, want to hear a joke?

Me:  Sure.

JP:  Why did the turtle cross the road?

Me:  To get to the other side?

JP:  No.  We don’t know yet, he’s still walking!

(We went to the mall yesterday cause it was 92 degrees and it’s big and he can run off some energy.  He loves the fountain!)

    1. Last time we went it was raining out, but this time there were a lot of people because of the heat, I think. And maybe back to school shopping already…

    1. Yep, we have heat for now. But it’s August, after all. And in December I’ll be complaining about the cold!

      1. I hear ya’. Believe me, I’m not complaining. This is my happy time right now. Still would be nice to jump in that fountain. 😃

      1. One of my ‘nephews’ used to make up his own jjokes. He thought they were hilarious. But they rarely made any sense!

      2. I remember picking Justin up one day and a group of boys were laughing hysterically. His sweet Indian teacher said it was a joke about bugs. We had no idea what was funny…

  8. He’s so adorable and much bigger than the last photo I’ve seen. Did he pick up any spare change from the fountain or just donate?

    1. Haha, no, we just donated two pennies. I told him he couldn’t tell me what he wished for or it wouldn’t come true! He is getting so big — 53 pounds already and starting kindergarten this month!!

      2. A very long time ago, I caught my youngest son in a fountain taking in his “haul”. He was sure that all the shiny coins were for him.

      3. Haha I had to explain to him why there was money in the fountain and then we wished!

  9. My grandkids will love this joke, Dee.
As far as bugs go, my grandies think “bugs poop!” Is a joke.
When they slide down the metal slide and their behind sticks on it, they laugh hysterically. If only we could laugh over such simple things!! 🙂
