Chantal stood lost in thought as Momma and her bridesmaids adjusted her veil and dress. She’d loved Cade from the minute he told her he’d pretended to take her chair at The Pink Pig just so he could apologize and buy her a drink. He claimed he knew she was his when she’d looked at him and blushed.
The familiar wedding music began and Chantal clung to her Daddy’s arm as they walked down the aisle toward her blue-eyed cowboy. The sweet look on Cade’s face nearly brought her to tears and when he took her hand, she was home. ❤

My theme this year is 100 word fiction. (So, no, don’t count this line!) This is a continuation of Chantal’s story from C is for Chair which you can find here.
Oh my gosh…i love the dress in that picture. So beautiful!

Isn’t it gorgeous? I think she looks a little like the girl in my other post, too!

Yes, yes she does.

This is sweet! I totally expected her to bolt though! Some romantic I am!

Nope, no runaway bride here! she would have broken Cade’s heart and he’s a true blue cowboy 😉

I love it! I’m a twisted weirdo! Lol!

Hahaha, you probably haven’t read as many cowboy romances as I have! Gotta follow the formula…

Girlfriend, this is my favorite. But then again, I got a soft spot for cowboy romances 😊

Me, too. And military guys. And millionaires. Maybe just romance in general 🙂

OH yeah! Military for sure, but I can take a pass on the millionaires. LOL

I’m not in a particularly romantic mood today, but this made me smile anyway. Love it!

Okay… this is funny — like Meg, I expected her to bail! How weird are we? 😀

You just don’t read enough cowboy romances. You don’t bail on a blue-eyed cowboy!

I couldn’t. The cowboy thing doesn’t do anything for me! It’s probably my loathing of country music… I don’t know… but if I was about to marry a cowboy, I’d run! LOL 😀

Smart move to follow on from another story. Hey – that’s an idea – you could make them all follow on next year. One long tale in 26 episodes. 🙂
X Y Z to go. Not easy letters. Or am I thinking of crossword puzzles? Hmm.

Some people are doing that, very tough, I think. 100 words is very limiting but a good place to get ideas from.

You have some very nice ideas. I can tell where your heart is from reading these short stories.

Well, you might have missed some of the non-romantic ones! I just posted X and then there’s P and G and T that don’t really have happy endings. Just trying some different things 🙂

yes – romantic – that was the word I was looking for. 🙂
Did I miss some of the non-romance? And some unhappy ending? Well that just plain sucks! (yes – sarcasm)
Will JP be reading your blog when he gets a little older? 🙂

I don’t know if he will. I’ll probably print out his stories to embarrass him with when he’s dating 🙂

Hahaha – sounds like a good plan. Well, good from your side anyways. 🙂
