My friend Dr. Meg at Meg Sorick, Writer, tagged me for ‘a song a day’ challenge. Meg writes and draws and bakes. And she’s a chiropractor — can you say overachiever?? But seriously, you need to check out her blog if you don’t follow already. It’s wonderful.

One of my all time favorite songs is Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. I love the romance of it and it brings me right back to the early years of Grey’s Anatomy when I still loved that show! Here are the lyrics.

First, thank you for the nomination! I am finally getting caught up on the blog, writing, etc. and have a new organization plan (it’s working well after two days! – I think it’s also helped by being refreshed post-vacation). I’ve been meaning to get to some of these nominations, so maybe this will be the kick in the butt I need to get going!
Second, I don’t know this song at all! I’m kind of surprised. I tend to have my head in the ground when it comes to newish music, but usually I at least recognize things.

It’s from about ten years ago, maybe, but it just brings back Izzy and Denny from Grey’s Anatomy to me. As an aside, I just saw today that Snow Patrol is coming out with a new album, the first in many years! I’m doing the AtoZ challenge in April so I’ve already written a few. I just need that push, I guess!

I love this song… Snow Patrol is one of my favorite bands. I try hard NOT to associate this song with Grey’s. Honestly, it kind of ruins it for me! But damn! Gary has a beautiful voice. I could listed to it for hours (and I have)… 🙂

Oh man, Harry hates these guys. Whenever I listen to them, he calls them the Whiny Scottish Boys. I tell him they’re getting laid a lot more than he ever hopes to… 😜 Dummy. Anyway, I never watched Grey’s Anatomy, can you believe it? Great song! And not even 12 year old girlish!

This was when I first saw Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He was a patient in love with Katherine Heigl. Denny and Izzie, OMG, I sobbed over their doomed love! I kind of stopped watching a few years after that, but that song just brings me back! Yeah, sounds like Harry is just jealous, lol! I’m trying to think of other songs I like, but one might have to be Meghan Trainor 🙂
