Blogging A to Z Theme Reveal…

Today is the day we announce that we’re going to participate in the month long A to Z Challenge in April and what our theme will be.  I’m planning a very short fiction piece each day, say 50 or 100 words, with a subject matter beginning with the appropriate letter.

Hopefully April 30 will not have to be about zebras, but it’s still too early to tell! 🙂  And, of course, I reserve the right to dredge up an old piece and rework it if time becomes short.

If you’re interested, I hope you’ll check out the Blogging A to Z site and think about participating.  Last year was a little nerve wracking, but a lot of fun!

  1. Ah, I forgot about this! I don’t know if I’m up for it this year, what with the last of the novel to work on… It was fun last year though! I look forward to your fiction stories – that’s a great idea!

    1. Way more nervewracking, I would think! A to z is good if you keep it short!

      5. Get my drainage tube and stitches out today so should be able to get back to normal soon, just no lifting weights yet! So, yes, feeling good 🙂

      7. I was overly optimistic, still have the drain another week. Told me to slow down a little. I guess the more you move, the more fluid you produce. 😦 so no cleaning this week, maybe more writing! And no weights 🙂

We googled the guy and does he have a resume !!! It’s going to be great !! Can’t hardly wait, and the Blackhawks clinched last night. It’s a great monday !!!!

  6. Hello, I’m new to this blog but I’ll be definitely following your blog closely this April. My theme is similar to yours, with the sole difference that I chose to call it “Tiny Tales”. Can’t wait to read what you’ve got planned! All the best and happy blogging! 😊

  7. It wasn’t challenging enough to post every day, so you thought you’d double down on the challenge and force yourself to come up with an entire story in 50 to 100 words??? If I ever got a personal trainer (there’s comedy!), I hope they don’t use your version of “challenge.”

This is gonna be fun. Bring on April!

  9. Fun!! I don’t think I am going to do it this year – it was great last year at getting me started on daily posting, but I don’t need the inspiration now!

    1. Oh, I hope you will! This is only my second year and my posts were varied last year, but usually pretty short. Kudos Toto people who do lots of research and writing. I just couldn’t devote that much time. It is fun and really pushed me to post six days a week. Sundays are always a free day 🙂

      1. I don’t participate at any social media, so I am not sure if it will make sense. Still debating 🙂

  11. I admire you for choosing this theme! I don’t think I could come up with enough ideas to do fiction every day. They’d all come under k (kiss) or l (love)…! ♥

    1. Ooh, I’m hoping to do all kinds, maybe mystery and horror too. But probably more romance!

      1. I am totally not creative enough to do that! I’m kind of sad today… because I went from thinking some of the theme ideas were good… to thinking none of them are right. I really wanted to have something to ‘announce’ today… but I have nothing!

      2. Leave it more general is my advice. Then you can draw or write or rant or do a song, whatever, depending what you feel like…

      3. I just hate the thought of being theme-less… it seems so boring… and doesn’t really even make it a challenge… I don’t know.

  12. I think it sounds like so much fun–as long as you are doing the writing and I am doing the reading.😉 I guess this means your romantic tale will be put on hold for a while.😦 Ah, the anticipation…

    1. Thank you, Linda, hope you like them. And I’m going to try to keep on with the romance tale, too!

  15. LWLR, two years ago I tried something similar using a photograph and fresh prompt every day supplied by a second party. I never knew the prompt until about 9 AM the day of and I tried to write a flash fiction post for each. What a challenging . . . well, challenge!

This year I will lay out the major characters, setting and plot of a new novel concept on my fiction blog.
