Words You Never Think You’ll Hear…

Hubby:  Sorry, Hon, I saw your hair on the table and meant to bring it upstairs.  Want me to go get it?

Me:  (Snickering)  Bet you never thought you’d say that, hmm?  Nah, it’s not like I’ll need it till morning!

  1. Hahaha. You should keep a journal of things you’d never thought you’d hear or say! My daughter and I do this. Then go back and read it and laugh all over again 😂

      1. It really is, makes you laugh when you really don’t feel like it 🙂 I’m good, things are status quo, hoping they stay that way lol

    1. It made me laugh! Sometime I wonder if it’s normal to find humor in all this, but come on, some of it is so silly! How are you, sis?

    1. Thanks, Holly! Even my doctor said when my hair comes back I should wear it like! Sure, just color, highlights and keratin, lol 🙂

      1. That is a beautiful color, bet you would be even more fabulous than you are now if possible.

  12. As an alopecia sufferer (I don’t tell many people… so keep it quiet!…), I recognise those words from my past… Indeed I once didn’t get a job because of ‘your hair’….

However, I have an amazing ‘system’ now so that my hair feels like my own and comes with me everywhere I go! It no longer gets ‘ripped off’ and left on the table – I know just how that felt!

Hopefully soon you will be taking your own hair with you everywhere you go very soon… and if not, there are alternative solutions… Maybe I’ll be inspired by you and become brave enough to write a post on it one day!

    1. Cool, you should! I just saw there’s a new (I think it’s new) procedure that’s much more permanent than a wig but it was terribly expensive.

      1. Yes it doesn’t come cheap Dee – it costs about £120 per month for me now… however, if I had to sell my house and live in a caravan I would because the difference it made to my confidence and self esteem is worth every penny! x

      2. ps – I’ve had this now for about 10 years but it has ‘evolved’ and continues to improve.. In fact – I rarely think of it now other than ‘it’s part of me’ – I believe it’s ‘my hair’.. it feels so natural..

  13. LOL! Reminds me of when my mom was going thru chemo. The story was my parents took my nephew (about 4 or 5 at the time, I think) to watch a parade, and he proudly said to a neighbor: my grandma can take her hair off!

    1. Hahaha! And I have been reluctant to not wear the wig in front of my 4 yr old grandson cause I was afraid he’d be traumatized. He’d probably think it was my superpower!
