Who would have thought! I am in shock, glad that the win freeze is over and the trophy is where it should be, in the hands of the Cubbies! It truly is like a dream!
I live in Tennessee, so the enthusiasm was not like it would have been in Illinois. In our house, however, it was mayhem, but no fireworks! Still, we didn’t get to bet until shortly before 2 anyway.
Not a sports fan myself but I love a great story like this one. If I wasn’t hung up on the computer I probably could have watched this one and enjoyed it. It was was awesome waking up this morning and hearing the news that they won.
I opened up my iPad last night about 2 minutes after victory and there was a headline staring at me. I, of course, thought of how excited you must be. The score was so close; it must have been an exciting game. Congratulations to the Cubs and all the cheering fans!
Oh my stinking nerves! What game! I am so shot this morning, couldn’t settle down to sleep after it was over, so I can only imagine how you must feel! This is soooooo awesome! Congratulations to all you die hard fans! You deserve this win big time!
I’m not surprised. What an amazing game 7. When it’s your team playing, you want a blowout against the other team. This has been the most exciting series I’ve watched other than the the Phils were in it of course. So happy for you all!
I can’t wait to see the parade! Well deserved…and obviously a long, LONG time coming. They are built to win multiple titles but you never take these championships for granted. Stuff happens. I am fairly certain Chicago fans won’t take this for granted. 1908 was a few years back…heard someone say this morning in that year only 1 in 7 homes had a bathtub. Bathe in the glow of winning it all Diane!
Dee, I could hear you cheering across the miles from the Cleveland baseball field!! Mom, my two brothers and I valiantly stayed up late hoping after we caught up 6:6!
