A Homonym Limerick…

Over here I’ll snuggle with you
If you move, I’ll have to, too
Stretched out without a care
Warm sunlight, we’re quite the pair
Always together we two!

  3. When our MinPin lays on my husband’s chest with her head on his shoulder, she is in bliss and he talks about the pressure on his chest. I showed him this picture and his words were “Talk about pressure!” Love the picture and I agree with the other comments – dogs are the best!

    1. Hahaha, yes, talk about pressure! Thanks, I have two old furbabies and they still love to be near us. Pets are such a comfort for me!

  4. They can be great healers. Funny how when you need it the most, they stick right by your side. 😊

    1. Mine are old and if they didn’t follow me from room to room, they’d hardly get any exercise at all!

      1. Hahaha! Mine gets her by chasing something up a tree at least once a day, be it a cat, possum, or raccoon. 😃

      2. They are so fun. Mine used to chase squirrels all the time!

      3. Oh, the squirrels. When we lived in the city, our dog(s) got the pleasure of the nemesis squirrel. But, believe it or not, we do not see any squirrels out here. We have patches of woods around us and lots of trees around and in the “yard”, but NO squirrels. It’s kinda odd now that I think about it. 😃

      4. Isn’t that weird? When our subdivision was new, we had no squirrels, but as the trees grew, so did the squirrel population!

      5. I talked to my wife about it a bit ago. It’s weird. We just don’t get squirrels. Have no idea why. 😃

  6. Cute guy! He seems like he is really concentrated on catching the sun’s rays , but I suspect what he is really enjoying is the cuddle 🙂

  7. We do have three of these lovely companions , one shadows me , the other my husband , and the third is a very aloof one who cuddles only if and when – a bit like a cat , only he is not catsized and when he leans onto us , like that cute one on the photo we need to really grab onto something or we’ll find ourselves on the floor 🙂
Glad to see you’re back to writing

    1. Thanks, dear turtle, my elderly dogs follow me from room to room all day long. If it weren’t for that, they wouldn’t get any exercise at all, lol

  18. Now, replace the dog with the recent guyI date every other weekend due to kids and my life would be all smiles. Not sure at this snails pace and his being a little anxious due to a very mean ex, how much farther we may go. Hope is high and fingers crossed. When we are together it is “Wow!” He says this, too. 🙂 Shy smile here. . .
