Ah, speaking from experience here?? It is just as worrisome for the parents of boys, especially nowadays! But, come on, you’ve been teaching them good stuff all their lives, it sticks with them…

As parents, it’s hard to watch them go, but we just have to trust they’ll be able to stand on their own two feet, whether at college or anywhere else. It’s a real tear-jerker at times. You’re right, the time goes so quickly and suddenly they’re adult. As for that last line … never a truer one was written!

Then they start jobs and don’t have enough, they have loans to pay off and kids to buy for, what would they do without us??

Oh, yeah, visiting colleges, the tests, applications, but it’s so worth it in the end! I mean, even junior college. I went a year and lived at home then went away and it was all good…

We’ve begun the testing but that’s all for the moment. I know it will be worth it, even though it’s hard! I found the money and went as fast as I could! Lol

This was both heartwarming and hilarious, as my mind wandered around all the “white lies” I told my parents as I got older. I tried to pick my battles with my kids and they have turned out okay.

Ahh… this is great. And I do not look forward to my kids going away to college! I’m nervous about them going back to school (tomorrow… well, today since it’s after 1 am…)… 🙂 I guess it’s bad that my mom still buys me stuff sometimes… 😛

Nope, my mom did and I still buy my adult kids stuff sometimes, especially if they need more at times. It’s just what parents do! Your son will do fine at middle school, you’ll see
