A Few Haiku…

Pretty scarlet rose

Tender petals unfurling

Summer waits nearby

Days grow longer now

The air, heavy with perfume

Breathe deeply, my love

Ever fleeting time

Reminding us to savor

The warmth and beauty

  3. The Greek word for Rose translates as ” thirty petals”. This beautiful rose looks like it could have that many. What a lovely colour too. The verse transcends the inspiration to delve into the human condition

  10. I love your poetic side. I’ve never been brave enough to try poetry that wasn’t rhyming. Bravo to you. Made me want to run and find a rose garden.

    1. You should try, its fun, I’m just trying my hand at different things. Mind and Life Matters has a fun limerick challenge each week, you should try something like that, bet you’d be good at it!
