He Is That Song…

lead-singer-455750_1280

He is that song

to make your heart dance

with the rhythm of love

His voice exists

for you alone

Your reason to breathe

a lyrical explosion

Guitar strings strummed

while harmonies soar

and emotions crescendo

The beat pulses

deep in your soul

You crave him

He is that song

      1. I never associated any man with a song. My brain and man parts don’t work that way. Know what I mean?

      2. Yes, I do! Same reason you watch the Avengers for the action scenes and I watch cause of Ironman, lol!

    1. I know, the challenges really do help, don’t they? We will be out of town over Memorial Day but I could do a day in early June if that works?

    1. Thank you! You know, I love all kinds of music and there are some songs I feel so in tune with, just like a person, I guess. To me, it’s poetry set to music…

      1. Exactly – poetry set to music. I get TONS of inspiration from music. I cannot, though, say that I love all kinds of music. When I pass on to hell, country music will be playing. And it will be the worst hell ever!

      2. Hahaha, I like some country, some of most kinds except maybe really alternative or heavy metal stuff. But I’m pretty mainstream, I’m afraid. Hubby is from TN, so I have to like a little country!

      3. Alternative is what I’ve always loved most. (Assuming alternative means the same thing to you as it does to me… sometimes, that varies…) I don’t like metal either… but , honestly, I can bear most things even if I don’t love them… But I cannot bear country, some rap and hip-hop, some super-overly “pop”-type stuff… and oh yeah, I hate jazz. Okay, I guess I hate a lot of things. LOL

      4. Well, that’s true for us all, I think. But I can find some songs in almost every genre I like, even rap, heavy metal is harder, lol. At My age I’m still a pop princess I’m afraid. Oldest son says I’m always just a few years late in discovering someone new! He also loves alternative.

      5. So are you a One Direction fan like my daughter? 😉

      6. Well, I don’t hate them 🙂 but my current fave is Meghan Trainor and I’m liking Ed Sheeren a lot. Plus my grandson loves Taylor Swift (he’s 3 1/2) and you should hear him sing Shake it Off! Usually it will be just one or two songs from an artist, but I love Meghan Trainor!

      7. My daughter (who is 8) loves One Direction and Taylor Swift. I don’t hate either so much I can’t bear listening, but not on repeat for hours. What I keep on repeat for hours lately… The National, Hozier, Coldplay, and a few others. I have heard Meghan Trainor and I’ve seen her on The Tonight Show, but I have no memory of what she sang or anything. I think that means it didn’t grab me. Or I was writing something and had no idea what was happening around me… 😀

      8. so I guess my son is right, I have the musical taste of a pre-teen, lol! but M.T. has kind of a doowop calypso sound and her first CD was such fun!

      9. I bet my husband has heard it… he listens to nearly everything. But his favorites tend toward what I also like. And he also hates jazz. 😀
