Our meet cute was silly, not soggy sappy

We met the old fashioned way, you picked me up in a bar

We’d both been out celebrating with friends

You said you had bills, I thought you meant green ones

You said you had children, I didn’t run screaming

We each went home alone, but I gave you my number

You became my strong, silent lead

And me, I was Tina Fey

Your actions always spoke as loudly as my words

And when it was quiet

I filled the silence with laughter and kisses

Now here we are all these years later
