I wish I’d met you first…

kissing-couple-1209043_1920

Wishing you had been my first

kiss, first dance, first love

but it wouldn’t be, couldn’t be…

Before you, I just didn’t know

What coming home felt like   ❤

Now I know that I would have

waited my whole life just to find you

or for you to find me…

You took such care with me

Chocolate and cigarettes, little girl?

We laughed and I was yours.

      1. With my life right now, please please please don’t be offended if I’m in and out more quickly than usual! Some days I have trouble reading about the wonderful relationships many couples have… kind of painful sometimes. Not that I’m not extremely happy for everyone who has that!! I certainly am!

      4. Nope, I understand. When I had a miscarriage many years ago I’m sure I was pretty awful to people with babies for several months, but I just couldn’t deal. I had to avoid them and talk of it at work or I’d find myself crying in the bathroom…

      2. One thing I know for sure, it’s all about compromising, on both sides!

        Liked by 1 person

      3. I agree, but if I may ask…don’t you think it is not fair to ask a young woman to move to the other side of the country, leave her family, friends, and career, for a man? Not sure what the compromise would be there. 😔

        Liked by 1 person

      4. No, I think that really isn’t fair unless your relationship is that serious already and his job took him somewhere else. But that’s a lot to give up just to have a relationship, I think, if it’s new. Long distance is tough…

  9. Aww! Diane, this is so sweet! I do wish I had met the man who would last forever. Did I tell you I am back on a dating online site. Shhh! I am not talking about it, on my own blog. I did this about 4 years ago and wrote about the 100 men I met. Some I didn’t tell specifics, some I laid it on the line. . .
Happy upcoming Anniversary! May is the merry and romantic month for mushy stuff, Diane! ❤ 🙂
