Xylophones are great for babies – they’re not too loud, and relatively tuneful. They’re at the “acceptable” end of the parental noise spectrum!

C’mon, I was stuck for an X word!

I think this was a fine choice of word 🙂

We still have the one our kids played with when they were younger. My youngest is 8 — we do not need to still have that toy… but I have a serious problem letting things go!

Nice work. Another one of those toys I regretted after purchasing it. I remember trying to concentrate on my writing and my daughter banging away.

Yes, never keep them at your own house:)
The toys, I mean, lol

Had them for the kids; they weren’t really excited to play the xylophone or any other instrument; maybe they weren’t musically talented?

Or maybe the toy wasn’t loud enough, LOL!

That’s an adorable picture!
My kids played with every musical toy in existence and created a few of their own. Plus they sang, or howled, or whatever you want to call it. Fortunately their skills improved with time!

they do love things that make noise, don’t they!?

Short and sweet. Great post! I remember my in-laws giving a horn (for bicycle) to Emily to put on her walker… After a day they wished they had given it to her before leaving to go back for their house at the end of the week. 😂. This horn was meant for outdoor not for a walker inside the house!!! It was LOUD and she loved it!

Of course! I swear, they don’t like noise unless they’re making it…

It helps me come up with ideas. You should try some other challenges and prompts, too. I’m go I by to after this is over, just to force me to write more. I started out taking blogging 101 and 201 here. That helped too.

I’m not sure yet. You can look under challenges as a tag on the reader and find some that way.

Out blog hopping from NC before the #Challenge is over. Love finding a new blog about books and writing. X alphabet day taxes the imagination. While you have been busy, I have been writing about hotels and inns, the architecture and architects, the significant settings they are in. If you have time or interest, it’s not too late to come visit. I’ll be back.
