In her mind’s eye she’s young and she’s fair
Her days move along with nary a care
Nights she’s entwined with a handsome lover.
But she’s old and alone and has been forever
She sits and she cries, whose memories are in there?

Today would have been my parents’ 66th wedding anniversary.
Oh Diane, this was moving, so very touching.

It did Diane. Wow, 66 years. Makes you wonder where all the years go, doesn’t it? And so many memories.

What a great write. You need to do more poetry. I think you have yet to discover your writing talent. You have only flashed the tip of the ice berg.

You are so sweet! Poetry usually makes me uncomfortable unless I have structure like a limerick to follow. Otherwise my poetry seems childish to me. But I will try. Thanks for being so supportive and encouraging ❤

You write well. Your short stories are good. You need to continue to explore your writing abilities and creativity. I will always be here to read.

Good. As I have said many times on my blog, women need to have their chance to explore their dreams and talents after all the sacrifices. Fly butterfly.

So sad but very sweet at the same time. I love it. This summer would have been my parents’ 50th anniversary… but Dad passed away in 2012. Mom… still here. This is lovely to celebrate your parents’ anniversary. ♥

I feel the same way about having 3 sisters (even though one is a wackjob and doesn’t speak to us). But it’s nice to have them… sometimes. 🙂

Took me awhile to find it. I always get an idea in my head of what I want to write, then have to find the pix. I should find the picture first, it would be easier!
