QUESTION: Does anyone make a pineapple dish with Ritz crackers and is it really good? I keep hearing it’s easy and fabulous and I like pineapple but it just sounds weird to me. It’s got cheese and butter and cracker crumbs and pineapple and maybe it’s a Southern thing but hubby is from Tennessee and his mama never made this. I’m thinking I might try it for Easter dinner.

A friend just called and said dont make this do one w/ bread cubes and eggs and milk and pineapple, almost like a baked puffing so I may try that one! I should do a review of this next week…

Yes — it sounds interesting. I’m being lazy for this holiday… I’m just making brownies. Because my kids want chocolate-anything.

I’m trying it. My friend swears it’s good. And why not try something you’ve never made on a holiday, right, lol?

Hey if you can’t use your relatives as Guinea pigs, who can you use? 😂

It’s not a Texas thing…but you may want to check Pinterest to see if it might pop up there? Good luck!

I just did a quick check on Pinterest, looks like Paula Dean is your best bet for the recipe!

I’ve had it, but never made it. Not sure if its a southern thing, but the combo works. The salty/sweet thing, ya know? It’s pretty good. 😃

Yes people have been telling me they cannot like and then I saw on your page no way to like, Weird. I think I have heard of a ritz cracker and butter type of thing but not pineapple?

I think you can see likes now. I maybe turned it off accidentally?

I used to make a pretzel crust, a layer of cream cheese and pineapple or other topping later dessert, cut into squares. Too late for Easter, so sorry. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the day, Diane! 🙂

Thanks! We did Easter dinner Saturday cause two of the kiddos have to work today. I did a pineapple bread pudding kind of thing and everyone thought it was fabulous! I guess it will be a keeper, especially with ham.

So happy this worked out well, Diane! I am glad everyone likes this and it sounds like a recipe my girlfriend uses and adds pecans and crumbles to really add sweet topping! Everyone has their favorite dessert. My Mom and I used to like serving a light angel food cake, whipped cream with strawberries on top. My Dad loved white or yellow cake with vanilla cream frosting with coconut. 🙂
