Monday Musings…

Everyone should be able to find a day to celebrate this month, with so many holidays, starting with Groundhog’s Day (2/2), Waitangi Day in New Zealand (2/6), Chinese New Year (2/8), Mardi Gras Day or Fat Tuesday (2/9), Ash Wednesday (2/10), National Foundation Day in Japan (2/11), Valentine’s Day (2/14), Flag Day in Canada and in the U.S., Presidents Day, both on 2/15.  And those are only the ones I know about!

I’ll personally be celebrating my first meeting with the new personal trainer, Keith, on Wednesday morning (2/3).  I’ve only talked to him on the phone so far and he seems all cheery and nice, but I know how deceiving that can be….  I’ll let you know Thursday 😉

    1. What will be especially painful is seeing how much work I’ll need to do 😉

      1. Just make sure he knows this can go one of two ways for him…destiny is in his hands…(well, I guess you’re actually in his hands now aren’t ya?).

      2. No, you’re right, I’ll have to train him right from the start!

  5. Not exactly a holiday, but we have a Leap Day this year, too. One extra day for physical therapy for you, I guess. 🙂

    1. Wow, feeling better? Done with therapy, on to a personal trainer to get me in shape — yay!

      1. I’m about halfway better, thanks. Reading comprehension slightly lagging, though. 🙂

I wish I had a personal trainer. Except for the training part, which sounds hard.

  7. Good luck with the trainer. My big splurge last year was a water rower that sat idle until the first of this month. I’ve finally gotten serious about it and right now I’m so sore I can barely walk.

    1. I can imagine! I’m not looking forward to it, but in a way I am, you know? Someone to keep me accountable, I guess.

  10. Best of luck and you will be fine. I went to a personal trainer at 69 yrs old and loved every minute of it.
