This is a picture of Hawaii, where Spam is still very popular. Hopefully it got your attention!
Several people have told me in the last two weeks that they have found comments I’ve made on their blog sites in their spam. I’m not sure why that is happening! Any insight from anybody?
I’m feeling terrible that you think I’ve ignored you, plus some of my comments have been extremely witty, if I do say so myself, and I’d hate for you to be missing them!
Is there anyone at WordPress that I should be contacting, do you know? The wonderfully funny Fictional Kevin said it might be those pictures on the Internet that got me in trouble, but believe me, they were very tasteful 🙂
(Just kidding, people, no one wants to see LWL on the Internet!!)
Nasty business! As I say… going to look in spam folder right now! But I suspect you just ignore me… *titter*😇😉

I am sorry to hear that, I will check my spamm folder-that said it currently holds over 400 spammed comments on my blog. At first my spam caught every.single.comment. I am hoping it hasn’t caught any of yours. I have no idea how to fix that from happening. Love your blog, I read every post even if I don’t always comment.

I don’t know either cause I rarely get any spam on my site. I may have to ask WordPress about it

Maybe, I had zero spam on wordpress.com it wasnt until I went self hosted that I noticed I was getting over 400+ spammers. (who need a life fyi!) I checked and didn’t see any with your name, however I have emptied it lately! Sorry 😦 I really hope you get it figured out.

I’ve been getting all your comments. I wonder why it’s some blogs and not all. Weird. I think there’s a WP help site in your admin menu. You can talk to the happiness engineers about it!

Is the spam folder under comments? Cause I rarely have any spam. Weird, right?

I get some but it really is spam most of the time, it’s rarely any real commenters.
So we’re about to get buried! I’m in the 12-20 inch snowfall range! Fun!

I didn’t know what spam folder was, went in there after about two months of blogging and was shocked! Allot of icky type of stuff but also dear friends! I now go in there at least once a week to see what might have been sent to spam!

Oh, you are the best! If only I could make everyone see that, just think how their days would be brightened! On a more serious note, thank goodness we’re not getting all this snow, right?

I have nominated you for The Sunshine Blogger Award. The nominees are under no obligation to pass on the award. I pass the award to those that I follow and enjoy their talent, as well as those that are supportive of my blogs. You are very sweet to do that! I am behind in awards and I may have to do a big post of all of them, which I hope no one minds, but I am so honored you would think of me!

I have combined awards in one blog. I call it multitasking.

Now that you mention it, I found one of your comments days later in the spam folder. Eh, I like a mystery!

Is spam really still popular in Hawaii?
And I do not know why some of us have this happen – but I know a few bloggers who contacted me and asked me to check my spam – and they were right – their comment was there. So I am not sure if you are able to do it – but checking back on your comments and seeing if they post might be key – and then u can remind the blogger to see if they went to spam-
Anyhow – I like this pool view

Thanks, that’s a small pool on the north side of the villas. Yes, Spam is very popular in Hawaii! McDonald’s has it on their menu and the stores sell all kinds of varieties. Yuck, I’m not a big fan of it!

I am not a fan of it either – yuck! And one yea my son made us make these emergency Prep kits and we bought “Dack” to put in them – our local wholesale store’s version of Spam! But I cannot eat either one – yuck ha!

I can’t believe it there I was joking about you ignoring me, and all the time you sat lonely and cold in the spam bin. Other than Monty python’s flying circus (Spamalot) I would think the spam bin is the last place anyone wants to be.😯😕😇

I did go into admin and then settings and we can set up ways to get comments and words to block, etc. I think mine is set so that once I approve someone’s comment, I don’t have to do it anymore. I’m not sure if there’s more than that one site.

Interesting that it should be popular in one area of the world. I think I am getting all your comments but I will double check.

Oh, the Spam in Hawaii? Hubby says it’s because it was used as C-rations (hopefully that’s right) during WWII for American GIs. And in Hawaii cause it didn’t spoil easily and fresh meat was scarce. And after the war, a lot was still left in the islands and Hawaiians apparently liked it and food is pricey there, so it became a staple.

Well, I found your email sent through my Contact Me Page in my spam. How can that happen is beyond me. Unfortunately, I am not receiving any of your comments on my blog, and they are not appearing in my Spam folder. Sigh. However, that is a lovely pic of Hawaii, hope you took it yourself. This chimp has Hawaii on his bucket list. Have a great day.

Aw, a timeshare in Hawaii. I see you are having a tough life. You have no right to complain about anything. lol Keep commenting, I need to be harrassed. And anyone who uses this as their logo “a little lunch, a little wine, A LOT of talking.” has my undivided attention.
