Thanks! My mom and dad lived in Peoria for about 14 years after they retired. It’s more like a furnace there, as I recall, unless, of course, it’s monsoon season!

The last two sentences could not be more “me.” If the snow and cold are not around at Christmas time just save it up for next year. It is useless to have tons of snow and ice arrive in January and February. Too late. Don’t need ’em. Don’t want ’em.

This was such a beautiful expression of how snow arrives, quietly and beautifully. I am like you, though, prefer it to decorate our holidays and leave us afterwards! I hate scraping off my windshield in the mornings!!

Lovely, descriptive poem! I agree that Christmas is the only time for snow – when we can appreciate it without thinking of that drive to work. I’m late responding to this post (it’s now February) and we still haven’t had more than a mereflutter of snow where I live in the UK. It’s time to look forward to spring now.
